This week, we’re introducing a rare Mexican distilled spirit, Bacanora, made from agave in Sonora, northern Mexico. Using a method handed down for generations, the agave is cooked in an underground oven with mesquite and oak and after a wild fermentation, distilled twice in stainless and copper stills.
At the bar, we have Yoowe Bacanora, a lovely spirit with an herbal and spicy aroma of jalapenos and a smoky taste that leads into a pleasantly sweet and clean finish. Please stop by if your interest is piqued!
This week, we’re open from 7pm to 1am on weekdays, so hope to see you all back at the bar soon!
While bourbon is often associated with Kentucky, there are a lot of lovely bourbons made in other US states. This week, we’ve gotten our hands on some lovely California bourbons made in San Francisco, so please stop by if your interest is piqued!
Sonoma Bourbon is a rich flavorful bourbon with notes of toasted vanilla, almond, toffee brittle, and coffee, while Forty Nine Mile bourbon has hints of vanilla, caramel, creme brulee and cinnamon. The mashbill is 21% rye, which also gives it a slightly spicier edge.
This week, bar miyako is open from 7pm to 1am on weekdays and from 7pm to 12am on Saturday, so hope to see you all back at the bar soon!
