bar miyako and makino gin

今週の #barmiyako は平日の19時〜25時、9月2日(土)は19時〜24時まで元気に営業しております。皆様のお越しをこころよりお待ち申し上げております!

We now have an interesting new gin from Kochi Prefecture, Makino Gin, named after the Kochi-born Japanese botanist Tomitaro Makino.

The gin is made using botanicals such as Sueko-zasa (sasaella ramosa), a type of bamboo leaf discovered by Makino and named after his beloved wife, Kochi-grown guava leaves, citrus and herbs. The botanicals are seeped in shochu brewed by the Tsukasabotan brewery, Kochi’s oldest brewery said to have been the favorite of Japanese samurai/hero Ryoma Sakamoto, which is then distilled to create the citrusy and woody gin. Please stop by if your interest is piqued!

This week, #barmiyako is open from 7pm to 1am on weekdays, and from 7pm to 12am on Saturday, September 2. Hope to see you all back at the bar soon!
